As I'm packing for my impending move to Copenhagen (only 30 minutes away from Sweden!) I'm struck by how efficiently I've actually managed to reduce my belongings to bare essentials along the years. Gathering and storing everything has only taken a couple of hours, when I at last got going. It feels very good to know that everything I own is there for a reason; there's almost no stuff lying about that I don't have use for. I'm very glad of that.
This separation has been the most sweet and amicable affair. We still laugh a lot together and we both take care of our feelings privately. We have a strong soul connection that will always be there. But we were not made to be together in the long run, raising a family and all. It feels good to leave with no regrets and no underlying tensions. We're free to enjoy each other's company exactly as it was meant to be enjoyed - as very good friends and joyous co-conspirators.
Things I learned from this relationship:
1. How to laugh.
2. How to really commit to something.
3. How to cultivate inner support.
4. How to love, no matter what.
5. How to let myself feel my needs and voice them.
6. One can never change somebody else.
I'm so grateful for everything. I'm being showered with blessings and miracles every day. I'm being washed through with the Naad. How I ever came to deserve this lifetime is beyond me. The love in my heart is the only echo of an answer.
I love you all so much. Sat nam.
