Bowing Jaap Sahib

A friend of mine attended a group sadhana where they did bowing Jaap Sahib. It's been popping into my consciousness a lot recently, so I got really called to start doing it, as I wasn't feeling any of my prior yoga commitments. Turns out this practice is just what the Guru ordered! The bowing practice works directly on my right hip which has been congested and weak. It works directly through my whole right side - and it's really challenging. My friend told me it's a silent practice where you just bow without chanting, but I've been having such a challenge with it that I've had to chant with the recording sometimes to get through the 32 minutes. Well, now after watching a video on it, I realize there are actually some breaks in the bowing and that might make it bearable. :D But seriously, it's great. My soul is very happy to do this sadhana and afterwardss Ifeel really great. Waheguru. So, here's the article about bowing Jaap Sahib!

Here's a helpful (though short) youtube video of how it's done:

  1. This is such a beautiful and powerful sadhana! I love it :) I can feel energy blocks open up in different parts of my body while doing it and I am often transported into past lives or somewhere. We need to compare notes after 40 days have passed :)
